6 Digit LED Clock

I recently found six 2.3″ red 7 segment displays in my collection which I purchased from Rapid Electronics when they were clearing out non-RoHS stock. Since I have no clock at my work bench I decided to construct one from some prototyping pad board, a Microchip PIC18F26K20 microcontroller and a Dallas DS32KHZ temperature compensated 32.768kHz crystal. 6 12 Volt audio amplifier

The above is an amplifier circuit using supply voltages from 6 volts DC to 12 Volt DC. Power output of the amplifier is quite low with only 1 Watt 8 ohm impedance. You can apply this to the audio signal amplifiers that require strengthening are not so large as in the pocket radio. 6 to 15V DC to DC Converter Circuit Diagram

A very efficient 6V to 15V DC to DC converter using LM2585 is shown here. LM2585 is a monolithic integrated voltage converter IC that can be used in various applications like flyback converters, boost converters, forward converters, multiple output converters etc. The circuit requires minimum number of external components and the IC can source up to 3A output current. Circuit diagram : 6 to 15V DC to DC Converter Circuit Diagram Here the IC is wired as a boost converter where resistors R1 and R2 are used to set the output voltage .The junction of R1 and R2 is connected to the feedback pin of IC1. Capacitor C4 is the input filter while capacitor C1 the filter for output. Network comprising of resistor R1 and capacitor C2 is meant for frequency compensation. Inductor L1 stores the energy for acquiring boost conversion. Notes:      Assemble the circuit on a good quality PCB. LM2585 requires a heatsink. 6 12V Variable Regulated Power Supply

This is an adjustable / variable power supply which have adjustable output voltage from 6-12 DC volt. This power supply can be used for general circuit or gadget which require 6 – 12DC voltage to work. Component Parts List: T1 = primary 115[220]/secondary 8 VAC transformer. Center Tap not needed. Q1 = 2N1613, NTE128, or substitute. (TO-39 case) On coolrib! BR1 = 40V, 4A. (Check max current of your mini-drill and add 2A) R1 = 470 ohm, 5% R2 = 1K, 5% P1 = potentiometer, 10K C1 = 1000uF, 25V Notes: C1 filters the noise and spikes off the AC. If you find the circuit output too noisy add another electrolytic capacitor over the output terminals. Value can be between 10 and 100uF/25V. The output voltage is variable with the 10K-potentiometer. The transformer input voltage refer to your home power source. Mount the transistor on heatsink / cooling rib to prevent overheating.
